Hostels are generally fantastic places to be. The people who are there are passionate about travelling, there is lots of camaraderie and a strong sense of community between travellers. It is in the hostel, not a guidebook that you will found out the best places to go, great places to get discounts at and loads of other tips about what is worth the money and what isn’t. It is also common for groups of people to travel together for a few days after meeting at a hostel.

When two or three people are together, they are already staring a small group, the more people joining their small unit, the bigger their group becomes. It is really true that no one’s an island. People need one another — for fun, for comfort, for solace, for correspondence, for help, etc. — people just have to interact, to learn, grow, love, and live. It doesn’t really matter how small a group is, although one could say that, “the more the merrier”. There’s always something strong and unifying in a group. People can look out for each other and can aid each other when needed.
